LaPlaya is #nowhiring an experienced Line Cook to manage the Grill for Baleen, our fine dining restaurant.

Starting Rate of Pay: up to $24.00 per hour based on experience and skills.

Must be able to work nights and weekends.

We are looking for a Line Cook who is a master on the grill to join the Baleen Culinary Team at LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort to support our beachfront fine dining restaurant, Baleen.

• Experience as a line cook with grill expertise in a high‑end restaurant.
• Ability to manage a grill station and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Knowledge of menu items and specials, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Compliance with sanitation and health regulations.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.

• Set up the workstation with required tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Follow the production schedule and oversee grill operations.
• Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas.
• Start prep work and production of items needed for the day.
• Ice down seafood in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitization of work areas and kitchen equipment.
