Job Overview
Full time, temporary Cook position responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items in the restaurant. Report directly to Executive Chef. Travel is not required. Applicants must complete pre‑employment drug screening. On‑the‑job training is provided.
Experience & RequirementsSix (6) months of culinary experience in a fine‑dining or high‑volume environment at a high‑end restaurant, resort, or private club required.
CompensationWage: $25 per hour, paid weekly. Overtime is available. Employees may be eligible for additional compensation as part of the Club’s holiday bonus program.
Schedule40 hours per week; work may be performed on any day from Monday through Sunday. Examples of shifts: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Shift hours may vary.
Transportation & HousingDaily transportation to and from work site is not provided. Employees may receive a weekly transportation stipend of $50.00. If 50% of the work contract period is completed, the employer will reimburse transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. During the last work week, the employer will also reimburse reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs.
Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
Optional housing is offered on a first‑come, first‑serve basis for workers relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, is $175.00 – $210.00 per week. Employees may also be eligible for a daily housing stipend of $10.00.
Benefits & PoliciesThe employer guarantees that work hours will be equal to at least ¾ of the workdays in each 12‑week period of the total employment period. The employer will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge.
H‑2B workers will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees).
