Sea Salt Restaurant – Naples, FL
Sea Salt is seeking a skilled and motivated Grill Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about cooking and thrives in a fast‑paced kitchen. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high‑quality dishes, maintaining an efficient workstation, and upholding food safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation – Prep ingredients and assist with cooking a variety of menu items while ensuring consistency, quality, and attractive presentation.
- Station Management – Oversee your assigned grill station—maintaining speed, organization, and excellent output during service.
- Quality Control – Monitor the quality, taste, and presentation of dishes, making adjustments as needed to meet restaurant standards.
- Cleanliness & Sanitation – Keep all kitchen areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety guidelines.
- Inventory Support – Assist with inventory management, proper food storage, and waste reduction. Communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with fellow kitchen staff to coordinate preparation and timing for efficient, timely service.
- Recipe Compliance – Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and preparation procedures to ensure consistent flavor and cost control.
- Adaptability – Adjust to changes in menu items, workflow, and kitchen operations as needed.
- Experience – 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred; familiarity with specific cuisines is a plus.
- Culinary Skills – Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Communication – Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
- Teamwork – Positive attitude and strong collaborative skills.
- Time Management – Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for operating kitchen tools and equipment.
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast‑paced kitchen.
