12 Hour Night. Department: 26033 - 6th Floor North Naples. 6th Floor Neuroscience/ Med-Surg Unit is a 32 private bed unit that treats a diverse population of patients, including general medical conditions, surgical procedures, or significant neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis). This department is known for providing excellence in primary stroke care, as certified by the Joint Commission.

NCH is an independent, locally governed non-profit delivering premier comprehensive care with two hospitals and 700+ affiliated physicians; transforming into an Advanced Community Healthcare System.

The Registered Nurse independently plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care, policy, and procedure. Provides direct nursing care to patients, assumes teaching and leadership responsibilities. Participates in shared decision making, unit committee and quality improvement activities. Needs minimal supervision.

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• All new to practice RN will be placed into the RN Residency Program.
• Intermediate computer knowledge:
  Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
