Classification: Hourly/Nonexempt
Overview
Saint Ann Catholic School Naples, Florida is seeking a Full-Time Custodian. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Job Responsibilities
- Maintains cleanliness and order in assigned areas of the school, ensuring that all rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Adheres to proper cleaning methods, storage, and proper care of equipment and supplies following local, state, and OSHA regulations.
- Uses and wears safety and/or protective equipment, as appropriate.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Reports all accidents and/or potential hazards to the Maintenance Director immediately, or as soon as reasonably possible.
- Attends in-service training to develop and improve knowledge and skills of cleaning service work.
- Complies with and supports school regulations and policies.
- Other duties as assigned by the Administration in accordance with school policies.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous work experience as a maintenance worker, custodian, or janitor
- An understanding of cleaning equipment and how to maintain them
- Understanding safety protocols and disposal of hazardous waste items
- Ability to lift approximately 50lbs.without assistance.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, climb continuously.
- Valid drivers license.
- Occasional Weekend hours will also be set in advance for specific events, as needed.
- Must pass a post offer physical exam.
