LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join a respected law firm’s Private Client team in Naples, FL. This role offers a dynamic blend of legal support, client interaction, and administrative coordination in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all phases of estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
- Draft and manage legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and estate/trust accountings.
- Assist with probate filings, trust funding, asset tracking, beneficiary communications, and distributions.
- Support tax-related matters including federal and state estate/gift tax returns, fiduciary income tax filings, and valuations.
- Maintain organized case files, monitor deadlines, and liaise with clients, courts, financial institutions, and external professionals.
- Conduct legal research in estate, trust, and tax law; assist attorneys with client correspondence and meeting preparation.
- Utilize legal software and document management systems to ensure compliance with Florida law and fiduciary standards.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of paralegal experience in trusts & estates, probate, or tax-related legal work.
- Solid understanding of estate planning, trust administration, and probate procedures (Florida-specific experience preferred).
- Familiarity with federal tax forms including 706, 709, and 1041 is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case/document management systems; experience with fiduciary accounting or trust software is preferred.
- Paralegal certificate or degree preferred;
Florida Registered Paralegal designation is a plus.
