Requirements for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, or related field and three years of experience with administering network systems, firewalls, routers, switches, and security tools. They must demonstrate strong knowledge of network protocols, IP addressing, and security principles to ensure reliable and secure network operations. Proficient with network management, firewalls, servers, VPN configuration, vulnerability assessment, threat analysis, operating system security, security policy development, and regulatory compliance preferred.
The position of Network Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the organization’s network infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, security, and optimal performance of all network systems, including hardware, software, and related technologies. The administrator monitors network activity, troubleshoots issues, and implements upgrades to maintain efficient operations. The Administrator reports directly to the Information Technology Manager.

The duties of the Network Administrator include but are not limited to:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points).
- Manage and monitor network performance to ensure reliability, availability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
- Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
- Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and inventory.
- Perform regular system backups and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
- Monitor system logs, alerts, and vulnerabilities to prevent security breaches.
- Plan and implement network upgrades, expansions, and optimization projects.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Document and maintain detailed records of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provides and coordinates employee training and support in network concepts and data maintenance techniques.

Physical DemandsPosition requires ability to sit and talk or hear for extended periods of time.
