Job Overview

We are looking for a full-time or part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at an assisted living facility in South Naples. The role works under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high‑quality care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions, helping them regain mobility and improve overall quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Duties
  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide hands‑on therapy techniques including orthopedic modalities as directed.
  • Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately.
  • Educate patients and their families on care plans and home‑exercise programs to promote recovery.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Actively lead exercise classes, participate in community events, and work collaboratively with community personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Current PTA license in Florida (required).
  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistance.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physiology.
  • Experience or familiarity with geriatrics, discharge planning, and care plans (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to providing compassionate patient‑centered care.
