Solaris Health Care is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, organize, and oversee the operations of the dietary department to provide nutritious meals in accordance with residents' dietary needs and preferences.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary requirements and preferences of residents, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards.
- Supervise and train dietary staff, promoting teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Monitor food preparation and service to ensure quality, safety, and sanitation standards are met.
- Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Manage inventory and order supplies, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and proper storage.
- Collaborate with medical staff, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for residents.
- Maintain accurate records of dietary services, including resident dietary assessments, meal plans, and staff schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and dietary services.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to continuously enhance the dietary services provided to residents.
- Must have supervisory experience.
- Must also have cook experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in dietary management in a skilled nursing facility.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary guidelines, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computer software for menu planning, inventory management, and record-keeping.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents.
