This job is eligible for same day offers as part of our Direct Hire program. The following scheduling availability is required:
- Sunday: 10:00am - 5:00pm
- Monday: 2:00pm - 8:00pm
- Tuesday: 2:00pm - 8:00pm
- Wednesday: N/A
- Thursday: 2:00pm - 8:00pm
- Friday: 2:00pm - 8:00pm
- Saturday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
We seek an entry‑level Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence. Technicians play a critical role in assisting patients and customers to provide an exceptional experience. Appropriate training and licensing is required, and duties may be limited until the Pharmacy Technician has completed all required training and certification.
Job Purpose and SummaryAs a Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store. Technicians are often the first point of contact to assist our patients and customers to deliver an exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities- Follow company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care: creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone. Offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone; demonstrating compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems.
- Complete basic inventory activities, as permitted by law and directed by the pharmacy leadership team: accurately put away medication deliveries, complete cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, waiting bin inventories, etc.
- Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and be receptive to feedback; actively seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge needed to better assist patients.
- Remain flexible for both scheduling and business needs, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic; voluntarily travel to stores in the market to work shifts as needed by the business.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles, including controlled‑substance dispensing and record‑keeping, and protecting patient privacy and security.
- Deliver additional patient healthcare services such as immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntarily staff off‑site clinics where lawful and supported by required training and certification.
- Complete additional licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status to prepare and administer vaccines.
- Educate patients on the importance of vaccines and refer patients to the pharmacist on duty for vaccination questions.
- Monitor and respond to adverse reactions; report adverse reaction events per public health requirements.
- Review and collect patient information; track and document for each applicable patient.
- Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
- Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, licensure and certification.
- Minimum age requirement: at least 16 years if not specified by the board.
- Minimum educational requirement: high school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment in high school/homeschool program if not specified by the board.
