Base Pay Range$78,000 – $87,000 per year
Responsibilities- Coordinate the Business Office team and functions to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently
- Direct supervision of non‑medical personnel, including orientation, ongoing coaching and annual evaluations
- Responsible for human resource procedures
- Work as backup to all business office teammates
- Ensure administrative and accounting procedures are carried out timely and accurately, and monitor reports
- Manage office supplies and equipment, and serve as main contact for building maintenance items
- Liaise with billing company, building maintenance and housekeeping companies, including contract evaluation and negotiations
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of payroll, forwarding to corporate for processing
- Work closely with Clinical Director to maximize operational efficiency and report all activities to the Administrator
- Work closely with the Administrator to promote utilization of the Surgery Center
- Accurately interpret and implement contract terms with all third‑party payers
- Answer telephone as needed
- Demonstrate competency in performing job tasks and operating equipment on an annual basis
- Perform other miscellaneous administrative duties as needed
- Associate degree required (Bachelor’s preferred), or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience
- Five years of experience in a medically‑related environment required—surgery center experience a plus
- Supervisor of non‑medical teammates required
- Medical terminology knowledge required
- Experience with patient admissions, scheduling, medical office operations desired
- Understanding of insurance processes, including verification, required
- Computer proficiency, Excel, Word, medical billing software and applications
- Experience with SharePoint and Survey Monkey preferred but not required
- Good communication skills and phone etiquette
