A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICAL ASSISTANT
As a Medical Assistant, you will ensure the delivery of focused and empathetic patient care at all times. You thrive in this environment as you greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival. You prepare examination and procedure rooms, obtain patient histories, vital signs, and measurements. You may also perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing documents like pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.
While maintaining a calming presence, you assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT
- At least 1 year of experience as an MA
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Computer literacy, including experience with EMR/EHR systems
- Proficiency in computer skills
