Responsibilities- preliminary assessments
- concept creation
- leading designs with support from your peers, SME’s, and BIM designers
- internal and external problem resolution
- drawing and specification production
- customer and vendor accessibility
- Education Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical/scientific discipline; master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
- Professional security certifications (CISSP, CPP, PSP, etc.) are a plus.
- Experience 12+ years of professional experience in planning, designing, and commissioning physical security systems and/or communication networks; project management experience is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of physical security systems, including video surveillance, access control, biometric systems, and intrusion detection, as well as familiarity with leading manufacturers.
- Experience with conducting vulnerability and risk assessments, with an understanding of various assessment methodologies.
- Ability to evaluate emerging security technologies and analyze trade‑offs, such as multi‑megapixel cameras to thermal imaging cameras or assessing ground‑based radar versus Lidar systems for perimeter intrusion detection applications.
- Strong understanding of network technologies and cybersecurity principles.
- Exceptional problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide/receive constructive feedback.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and design collaboration tools.
- Experience with Revit, ACC, BIM
360, AutoCAD, and/or Micro Station. - Thorough knowledge of CSI design and construction specifications.
- Experience estimating and scheduling mid‑to‑large‑scale project design effort.
- Knowledge of construction cost estimating for security implementation.
