Community School of Naples (CSN), an independent college preparatory school in Southwest Florida, is currently seeking a motivated and talented Middle School (Grade
8) History Teacher beginning in August 2026.

A successful candidate will demonstrate passion and expertise in the teaching of history, specifically the ability to provide an engaging and challenging classroom that encourages students to lean into academic excellence. A background in teaching upper school history is a plus, as is the ability to integrate technology into instructional practice and lesson design. This full‑time position requires teaching five classes a day, with an average class size of 14–16 students.

The MS History teacher will be part of a grade team and lead an advisory of 12–14 students. Candidates need to demonstrate a willingness to participate in cross‑curricular projects and have the ability to chaperone overnight field trips (typically once a year).

The appointment is for a full‑time instructional position for the 2026‑27 academic year with a start date of August 10, 2026. The position is paid on an annual salary basis, commensurate with experience and other qualifications. • Bachelor’s degree in history, a social science field, or education with an emphasis in history or a related field and a minimum of three years of teaching history at the middle school level.
• Background in teaching upper school history is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet important deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, high‑stakes environment.
• Commitment to participating in professional organizations, conferences, subject‑related competitions, etc.
