Community School of Naples (CSN) is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our Athletic Department. This role supports the health and wellness of student‑athletes across all sports programs throughout the Middle and Upper School. The general responsibilities of the Athletic Trainer will include but will not be limited to the domains set forth by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, which encompass the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of emergent, acute, or chronic injuries and medical conditions.
In accordance with Florida state licensure, the Athletic Trainer will provide services to student‑athletes under the direction of a supervising physician.
CSN is one of the top independent, non‑sectarian day schools in Florida, with a PK‑12 enrollment of over 1,000 students. Our students consistently rank among the highest statewide in test scores, extracurricular activities, and college acceptances. CSN offers a comprehensive athletic program for middle and upper school students, and is a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association and the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in athletic training, kinesiology, or related field required; master’s degree preferred.
- NATABOC certification required; must maintain current CPR/AED and first aid certification.
- Previous experience as an Athletic Trainer in a high school or youth sports setting highly desired.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, and proactive safety and wellness skills.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Sit at a desk while working on the computer.
- Bend, twist, kneel, stoop, climb, crouch, and balance regularly.
- Withstand outside weather conditions.
- Detect and exchange accurate information.
- Maintain close visual acuity to perform essential job functions.
- Withstand a moderate noise level in the work environment.
The appointment is full‑time, year‑round, paid on a salary basis commensurate with experience and qualifications. Free breakfast and lunch are offered on all school days. Salary range: $50,000 – $60,000 per year.
