The Communications Intern under the direction of the Communications Director, is responsible for providing creative assistance to the Communications Team by assisting in graphic design, social media content creation, photography, video production, and other support functions. This person tells stories through visual communication and works collaboratively and independently with the Communications Team to develop and distribute original content across all platforms that clearly communicates the vision, ministry and goals of First Naples Church.

• May include but not limited to: producing print + digital graphic designs and video content.
• Scheduling and managing digital content (Screens, social media, web, emails).
• Shooting and editing event photography.
• Administrative support.
• Research for creative projects.

• Create content for distribution across all platforms in collaboration with the Communications Team (i.e. announcement slides, project deliverables).
• Stay connected and in the know on all active and soon coming projects.
• Serve on the photo + video team, covering events, weekly worship, and other meeting times as needed.

• Passionate about storytelling through design concepts.
• Work with the Communications Team to ensure all jobs are being completed in a timely manner.
• Be able to report to the Communications Director with statuses for projects in progress.
• Contribute to creative meetings regarding church-wide initiatives and ministry specific events.
• Contribute ideas to the creative process and provide constructive feedback to the creative team.

• A degree is not required, however, the candidate must be working on a degree or professional certification, preferably in the fields of Communications, Marketing, Art, or Graphic Design.
• Evidence of a flourishing relationship with Jesus and commitment to His church.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, and/or Davinci Resolve a plus.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated and creative with a passion for creativity to help people love Jesus.

  Start Late May – End of July
• Length: 6-8 weeks, 32-40 hours per week. This position is full-time. Regular office hours (Monday – Friday), as well as occasional weekend and evening hours depending on events, are required.
