Naples Excavating, a sister company of the Knauf-Koenig Group continues to grow and expand in the Naples and SW Florida region. Maintaining a strong balance of Residential and Commercial projects Naples Excavating finds itself in need of a project accountant to enhance it's finance team. As with each of our organizations, there is a focus on client satisfaction, and working closely with clients to complete projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Naples, FL, for a Construction Project Accountant. The role involves working independent and collaboratively with project managers to manage the financial elements related to construction projects, assisting with preparing budgets, monitoring expenses, and maintaining accurate project records. Significant duties include processing invoices, pay applications, reconciling project costs, lien releases and the lien process for multi tier subcontractors.
Communicating with clients as well as subcontractors to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. The Construction Project Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company’s operational efficiency and financial success of projects.
- Experience with accounting practices, AIA Pay Applications and progress billing including some budget preparation, cost tracking, and financial reconciliation
- Proficiency in construction project accounting software, Quick Books and Sage 300 CRE and tools, as well as strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Analytical and organizational skills for managing multiple projects and ensuring precise financial documentation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project managers and clients
- Knowledge of Florida building codes, construction processes, and industry regulations is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
