The role involves overseeing the accounting functions for multiple properties and companies, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with established policies.

• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Manage a team of two other accountants
• Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping, reporting, billing, AR/AP, cash management for all properties/companies
• Develop and manage annual financial budgets
• Consolidation of companies belonging to the same ownership
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and oversee the closing process
• Ensure all AR are collected promptly
• Maintain the chart of accounts
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
• Preparation of annual CAM budgets and CAM reconciliations
• Implementation of Rent increases (CPI and standard)
• Preparing and maintaining spreadsheets for security deposits, accrued and prepaid expenses, allocation insurance premiums
• Monitoring TRIM notices and coordinate potential contests

• Minimum of 10 years of accounting and finance experience in real estate
• BA/BS in accounting
• Master’s degree or CPA preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Quick Books online
• Self‑motivated, organized and flexible
• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with vendors and tenants
• Experience in preparing, presenting and reporting financial information

• Experience in real estate accounting
• Advanced analytical skills
