Senior Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team and assist with financial reporting and reconciliations across multiple operating units. This position requires strong technical accounting skills, GAAP and statutory reporting experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and review GAAP and statutory financial reports for multiple divisions.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reporting.
• Support reinsurance accounting and related reporting requirements.
• Utilize Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups) for data analysis and reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
• 4–5 years of accounting experience; insurance industry experience highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP compliance and statutory accounting.
• Proficiency in Excel (intermediate level: formulas, pivots, lookups).
• Experience with People Soft is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

• Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.
