Project Accountant

• Prepare and record journal entries for daily, weekly, and monthly transactions

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including balance sheet and income statement analysis

• Perform and support consolidations and ensure intercompany accounts are reconciled and balanced

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and internal management reports

• Support annual audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and variance explanations

• Assist with bank reporting, covenant calculations, and ad hoc financial analysis

• Support system implementations, acquisition accounting, and integrated reporting

• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules, including depreciation and disposals

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Identify and support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting or multi-entity corporate environment)

• Consolidations experience required

• Strong understanding of GAAP

• Experience supporting audits and financial reporting

• ERP system experience (Oracle, SAP, Sage Intacct, Texada, or similar preferred)

• High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
