Senior Accountant
Location: Naperville, IL | Hybrid (3 days in office)
Compensation: Up to $115K base
Reports To: Corporate Accounting Manager

What You Will Do
- Prepare month-end journal entries for corporate and central functions, including marketing, insurance, prepaids, IT, HR, intercompany, allocations, accruals, and reserves.
- Perform and analyze account reconciliations for assigned areas.
- Conduct financial statement variance analysis and follow up on corrections and resolutions.
- Maintain organized, accurate, and complete accounting records in accordance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, HR, IT, etc.) to support strong processes and financial controls.
- Support continuous improvement and shorter close timelines by leveraging technology, standard operating procedures, and process automation.
- Assist with internal and external financial statement audits.
- Participate in technology upgrades, business initiatives, acquisitions, and special projects as assigned.
- Research and assist with implementation of technical accounting matters.
- Document policies, procedures, and workflow for areas of responsibility.
- Support and assist the Corporate Accounting Manager with additional duties as needed.
Ideal Background
- CPA or CPA-eligible required
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting OR corporate accounting within a large or multi-entity organization
- Strong foundation in GAAP, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and accrual-based accounting
- Experience with inventory, manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale environments a plus
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, etc.) preferred
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
