Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy educational location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and responding to alarms and requests.

This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct regular and random foot patrols of academic buildings, common areas, residence and/or dining areas as assigned, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

+ Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by checking credentials when required, issuing visitor guidance, and directing people to appropriate offices and/or departments.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, suspicious activity, and/or disruptive behavior, and request additional assistance when needed.

+ Complete routine documentation such as shift activity reports and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership, and assist with basic security-related equipment checks such as radios, doors, and lighting.

* + A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.

+ A guard card and/or license is preferred.

+ Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
