Vineyard Technician

Fruition Sciences is a vineyard consulting company providing an unparalleled level of expertise on vineyard data. Our method is designed to help winemakers link key environmental and plant metrics with their vineyard practices in order to grow the highest quality fruit while reducing their environmental impact. The Vineyard Technicians play an important role in providing precise measurements of vine performance throughout the season.

Our services and technology provide clients with a method to continuously monitor their vines from bud break to harvest. The Vineyard Technicians assist with the maintenance of our sap flow systems and the timely collection of data. The work will challenge you to think critically and adapt to problem-solving technical device issues in the field, while also engaging in hands‑on work outdoors.

You will feel rewarded learning valuable skills, contributing to sustainable vineyard practices, and gaining a unique perspective on the wine industry.

This is a vineyard internship, so you’ll be spending your days outdoors in all kinds of weather. You’ll need to be comfortable driving and carrying heavy materials around remote vineyard sites. The work we do is quite specialized, so there will be a lot to learn! We’ll provide a supportive learning environment with detailed guidelines and training to help you succeed.

You will be working independently the majority of the time so the ability to perform autonomously is required.

This position provides a great opportunity to gain experience and familiarity with different facets of the wine industry. Our intern alumni have gone on to do many great things at prominent wineries and vineyards around the world.

Approximate 8 months (March‑October)

Monday to Friday 40 hours/week, infrequent overtime - Flexible start and end time.

• Vineyard site visits for sensor installation/uninstallation, maintenance, and repairs
• Basic problem solving of electrical equipment
• Daily record keeping and data entry
• Frequent status updates to your supervisor

• Must provide your own vehicle, you will be reimbursed for mileage
• Must live in or near Napa in order to perform site visits
• We do not have the ability to sponsor for this position, you must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay: $24.00 per hour
