Job Summary

The Room Service Manager is responsible for ensuring a high-quality food product, developing staff, and fostering a positive work environment. The role involves improving guest and associate satisfaction, maximizing revenues, and maintaining effective interdepartmental relationships. Management associates are expected to work as needed to complete their responsibilities, with overtime applicable for OEM associates.

Exempt managers typically oversee at least 3 full-time associates and perform primarily administrative, executive, or professional tasks, using discretion and independent judgment over 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in room service or F&B outlets
  • Experience in similar-sized and quality hotels preferred
  • Background in hotels or large venues a plus
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Financial management and analysis aptitude
  • Ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
  • Strong scheduling and motivational skills
  • Multilingual abilities preferred; fluency in English required, Spanish desired
  • Valid Certified Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain one
  • Leadership, organizational, and stress management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of Guest Room Dining, Minibar, and Snack Bar
  • Supervise food production, quality, and presentation
  • Ensure efficient and friendly service
  • Complete daily side work and safety procedures
  • Develop staff schedules and manage payroll
  • Monitor labor and expenses, develop budgets
  • Resolve operational issues promptly
  • Train and develop team members
  • Maintain positive relationships with guests, staff, and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with standards and procedures
  • Participate in recruitment and staffing
  • Manage department profitability and service quality
