The City Clerk is accepting applications from Napa residents for six vacancies:
- Building and Fire Code Board of Appeals — three vacancies
- Disability Access Board of Appeals — two vacancies (one vacancy concurrently with Building and Fire Code Board of Appeals)
- Parks, Recreation and Tree Advisory Commission — one vacancy (high school non-voting member)
- Public Financing Authority — one vacancy

Board descriptionsBuilding and Fire Code Board of Appeals – local appeals board for issues related to building and fire codes. May provide advisory comments on new codes or proposed changes. Members should have knowledge, experience, and training in building construction and fire protection. Applicants must be City of Napa residents and registered voters. The board has no regular meetings and is called as needed.
Disability Access Board of Appeals – renders decisions on appeals related to access to public accommodations or facilities. Two of five members are physically handicapped persons; remaining three members also serve on the Building and Fire Code Board of Appeals. Applicants must be City of Napa residents and registered voters. The committee has no regular meetings and is called as needed.
Parks, Recreation and Tree Advisory Commission – advisory to City Council on matters affecting parks, recreational and cultural activities; tree preservation and arboriculture; and related city tree policies and programs. Commission may act as decision-making body for certain tree-related matters per municipal code. Seven voting members; one non-voting high school student. Meets on the third Wednesday of every other month at 6:00 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers, 955 School Street, Napa.
Public Financing Authority (PFA) – governing board for the Napa Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District (EIFD). EIFD finances public capital facilities and projects of community wide significance. Meetings are held to perform duties under EIFD Law at City Hall, 955 School Street, Napa. Applicants must be City of Napa residents and registered voters.
