Overview
U.S. Only:
This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the S.A.F.E. Act. The position requires a Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. The Bank will instruct on the registration requirements. A criminal background review and credit history evaluation will be required, as well as restrictions on performing in a real estate agent capacity.
This is a licensed position requiring the SIE, Series 6, 63, Life and Health licenses.

Responsibilities- Serve as the customers’ relationship manager providing personalized attention to uncover their specific financial needs and goals, backed by BMO’s expertise, technology and resources.
- Act as the primary client contact to uncover financial needs and provide meaningful solutions in compliance with regulatory and compliance policies. Work collaboratively within the market, BMO partners, and the community to build relationships and deliver the desired customer experience.
- Be part of a team that uses internal partnerships to leverage expertise and provide comprehensive strategies and solutions for our affluent customers’ financial needs.
- Provide personalized banking solutions, including checking, savings, and lending needs, as part of delivering a differentiated experience.
- Engage in a consultative sales process to develop strong customer relationships; act as the client’s trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
- Proactively manage an assigned portfolio of mass affluent clients across multiple branch locations; identify needs, provide solutions, and pursue additional sales opportunities.
- Recommend products, pricing, and services; connect clients with business partner experts based on key financial decisions.
- Achieve results and meet sales targets by acquiring new assets from existing clients and new client acquisition.
- Collaborate with branch teams to identify existing customers that meet target profiles and create a calling plan.
- Review credit applications to ensure sound credit granting principles and suggest remedies to maintain asset and credit quality.
- Conduct quality customer review meetings for retention and relationship expansion.
- Participate in the community to identify prospects and centers of influence; develop two-way referral relationships.
- Provide individual and group training to mentor and coach branch personnel on mass affluent client knowledge and skills.
- Educate clients about digital options for banking transactions and guide use of digital and self-serve technologies.
- Liaise between clients and departments to provide product support and resolve issues within policy guidelines.
- Follow security and safeguarding procedures and apply due diligence to prevent loss due to fraud, robbery, counterfeiting, money laundering, or defalcation; maintain confidentiality of customer and Bank information.
- Identify risks and take appropriate actions, including documenting regulatory requirements to maintain operational integrity.
- Monitor exception reports and take action to remove exceptions.
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders; execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
- Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus; exercise judgment to diagnose and solve problems within given rules; work independently on a range of complex tasks.
- Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience; post-secondary degree in related field preferred, not required.
- 7+ years of experience in a financial services organization with knowledge of banking products, services, pricing, and profitability.
- Required:
