The Department of State Hospitals‑Napa has a vacancy for a Stationary Engineer. Under general direction, the Stationary Engineer performs a variety of skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of boiler, heating, air conditioning, ventilating, lighting, power, water, water treatment, and other mechanical systems normally found in a State hospital. The Engineer may also instruct or lead other engineers, lead resident workers, and perform other related work.

Applicants must complete the State recruitment process. Successful candidates will pass the examination and will be placed on an eligibility list. If you are already on the eligibility list for this classification, you do not need to retake the examination, except when your list eligibility expires. You must submit an application of interest in addition to the exam results.
