Office of Emergency Services seeks a Secretary to perform specialized and complex secretarial duties and coordinate clerical support functions. The role supports the daily operations of a department dedicated to public safety and emergency preparedness and provides administrative and clerical support to staff, ensuring efficient coordination, communication, and documentation.
This recruitment is being conducted to fill one Limited Term vacancy with an estimated end date of 8/2026.
Responsibilities- Manage calendars and schedule meetings
- Prepare correspondence
- Maintain physical and digital records
- Process invoices
- Assist with other daily clerical tasks
- Experience: Three years of significant, directly related and progressive clerical experience.
- Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, including or supplemented by specialized clerical training.
- License or Certificate: Certain positions assigned to this class may require possession of a valid California Driver's License. Any license, certification, or registration required for this position must be maintained (active and in good standing) at all times during employment. Loss of the required State licensure may result in termination or reassignment.
- 3.5% COLA Increase effective 7/1/2026
- 32.0 hours of Winter Time Off (WTO)
