Position Overview
This position rides with the Class 1 Local Delivery Driver on established routes to ensure accurate, on-time delivery for GFS customers within standard operating procedures. Shifts will be based out of Nanaimo. This is a seasonal position from March 2026 to September 2026.
Based on business needs,this position can be extended to a driver in training role to obtain your class 1 license through the GFS MELT program. If the successful candidate is extended, the schedule may change based on business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include correctly offloading product to customer location, assisting the Class 1 Local Delivery Driver with product delivery and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to lift, load, push, pull and carry items up to 60 lbs
Valid Class 5 license
Ability to work independently as well as assist team members when necessary
Excellent communication and time management skills
Safe operation of all equipment
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Professional demeanor and customer service focus
Ability to excel in a fast paced, physically demanding position

Consistent on-time attendance
Availability for weekends and statutory holidays as needed
