BOXX Modular (Canada) rents, leases and sells temporary and permanent modular buildings, including standard buildings ready for immediate delivery and custom-designed solutions. BOXX Modular is looking for a  Selling Branch Manager  to lead our Nanaimo branch operations—someone who can balance strategic sales, operational excellence, and people leadership while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

In this role, you’ll run the branch like your own business: developing new opportunities, growing key customer relationships, managing fleet assets, and leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious revenue and profitability goals.

Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategic Sales

Develop and execute a business plan and sales strategy for the branch market, aligned with company revenue and profitability goals.

Responsible for sales quoting, cost analysis, bid development, and contract negotiations as required.

When required, attend, participate in, and promote BOXX Modular at trade shows and industry/customer events.

Assist in developing and implementing marketing plans as needed.

Maintain accurate records of pricing, sales, and activity reports.

Maintain contact with all clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Respond to RFP requests, customer presentations, pricing, leasing, and major project requests.

Identify competitive threats and opportunities, submitting summaries to marketing and regional staff.

Track and communicate all sales and rentals relative to targets, maintaining an up-to-date CRM (including key customer profiles, quotes, contracts, and documentation).

Stay abreast of industry activity in the Province, using market intelligence to identify new opportunities.

Support and build relationships with key customers in industries such as construction, energy, education, mining, government, military, and healthcare.

Fleet Management

Maintain positive relationships with all key vendors and suppliers.

Coordinate with Operations staff for the successful execution of projects

Responsible fleet asset maintenance and refurbishment.

Work with management for the submission of quarterly and annual CAPEX submissions

Responsible for the Nanaimo branch service center, yard and storage locations.

Manage inventory and control fleet assets.

Leadership

Direct management of the Nanaimo Branch Staff

Train staff for superior product knowledge; provide coaching and resolve complex sales/service issues.

Ensure compliance with corporate procedures, transportation regulations, integrity policies, and health, safety, and environmental standards.

Provide leadership direction to vendors and yard operations staff

Monitor and achieve branch key performance indicators

Forecasting and Administration

Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on time.

Oversee billing, lease, and accounts payable processes.

Participate in credit approval and accounts receivable adjustments.

Develop and manage operating forecasts (revenue and expenses).

Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.

Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding branch performance.

Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or related field preferred.

5–10 years’ sales experience in energy, construction, government/military, mining, or rental sectors is preferred.

Proven leadership and motivational skills (5+ years).
