The Janitor contributes to the overall success of the hotel by attending to general hotel janitorial requests and providing superior customer service to guests while completing tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Provides superior customer service and specialized services to maintenance/janitorial
• Cleans all back-of-house and public areas of the property, including taking out garbage, stripping and waxing floors, shampooing upholstery and carpet and window washing
• Adheres to Coast Hotels quality and industry standards when completing tasks
• Follows established occupational Health & Safety procedures and policies when completing tasks
• Assists with garbage/recycling removal and grounds/landscaping work
• Demonstrates a superior customer service attitude with guests and Ambassadors
• Performs special projects, seasonal work and other duties as required

Knowledge/Skills/

Experience:

• Secondary school diploma preferred
• 6 months minimum of related experience is preferred
• Pool maintenance experience is preferred
• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Physical mobility and stamina
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Knowledge of the products and facility in area of expertise
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to deal with high pressure environments
• Exemplifies Coast’s core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability
• Able to work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings, weekends and holidays
