AboutThe Role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-time Technical Field Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT Infrastructure Operations and Delivery team in British Columbia.
The IT Infrastructure Operations & Delivery team is responsible for managing and maintaining Canadian Blood Services’ IT infrastructure to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of its technology systems.
In this role, you will coordinate and manage field location Information Technology support services and staff, provide records management services, and support our project management office (PMO) with the implementation of new equipment or processes.
Formula for success- Utilize your technical expertise to perform field information technology support for all applicable Canadian Blood Services sites, providing consultation in matters relating to information technology and management. You will be responsible for on-site and remote support of Canadian Blood Services sites.
- Leverage your technical skills to support and maintain the daily operations and system qualification activities for the IT systems including network and telephony infrastructure, office automation software applications and other equipment software/hardware.
- Utilize your coordination skills to handle the storage, retrieval, and disposition of records at the site level.
- Troubleshoot, resolve and document problem management tickets.
- Assist head office and IT staff in identifying the root cause of technical errors and coordinate third‑party vendors/service providers for IT systems and equipment. Liaise with Head office/IT to ensure resolution of technical issues; coordinate on‑site technical support as required and ensure procurement and installation of all applicable Canadian Blood Services sites hardware and software, as per Canadian Blood Services standards and procedures.
- Maintain a current working knowledge and ensure compliance with all relevant operating procedures, policies, and other related documentation pertaining to Canadian Blood Services operations.
- Graduate from a recognized post‑secondary information technology program/institution or related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in the IT Field with desktop support.
- Experience in a computer services/support role in a regulated environment.
- Three years' previous experience providing customer support and vendor management in an operations environment.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the job.
