Island Health’s Department of Emergency Medicine invites certified emergency physicians to apply to join our progressive, collegial group of 30+ in the oceanfront community of Nanaimo, BC.

The Nanaimo Emergency Physicians Association provides emergency and trauma team leadership services in the busiest emergency department on Vancouver Island, featuring a new, state-of-the-art facility. The department is a referral center for central Vancouver Island, with an annual census of 70,000 patient visits, and has comprehensive support from all major specialties. Our unique Proceduralist service offers ERPs the opportunity to expand procedural skills.

We also offer flexible shifts with variable start times, which are popular for work-life balance.
