Discovering your exciting role

Safety is paramount and is of the highest priority in our company. The primary responsibilities will include managing inventory, fulfilling picklists, staging products for projects, receiving and shipping merchandise, and assisting purchasing within the Boise facility. The goal is to maintain accurate inventory to support manufacturing while keeping inventory levels in line with established goals.

Responsibilities
  • Work in the warehouse as an Inventory Specialist.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments and transact in ERP system accordingly.
  • Physically receive and stock inventory into its proper warehouse location.
  • Pick products for projects and stage the products for kitting.
  • Run shortage reports to fulfill backorders.
  • Manage inventory issued and returned in ERP system accordingly.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts of inventory.
  • Maintain consumable/shop supply stock levels for items warehoused in the stock room.
  • Process the return of any purchased materials in conjunction with established procedures.
  • Assist in establishment and adjustment of min and max levels for inventory items.
  • Assist in the processing of year‑end physical inventory.
  • Communicate and work effectively with all members of the department and other internal and external contacts.
  • Crate and prepare large machines for shipment.
  • Occasionally utilize a forklift to load and unload shipments.
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records to verify accuracy.
  • Record shipment data such as weight, charges, space availability, damages or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or record‑keeping purposes.
  • Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials.
  • Handle international shipment via small package and freight documentation and preparation.
  • Maintain strong organization skills.
  • Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems such as damaged product, shortages, or non‑conformance to specifications.
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools and/or power tools.
  • Maintain a clean and debris‑free environment.
  • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles by hand, pallet jack, or using forklift or other equipment.
  • Read, pick, mark, issue, and process a “pick list” or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments for material or equipment needs.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the supply chain group.
Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent; one or more years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret manufacturing drawings, purchase orders and technical procedures.
  • Ability to write brief letters of correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively respond to questions from colleagues and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently and develop comprehensive knowledge in our ERP System; basic knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and other similar programs.
  • Ability to apply mathematical skills and analyze performance trends in data; demonstrated experience applying structured problem‑solving and decision‑making tools and methods.
  • Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies and provide solutions; ability to identify problems, collect information, establish facts, and suggest solutions; ability to develop and support conclusions.
