Responsibilities

Are you a hands‑on problem solver who takes pride in keeping a community running smoothly? As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, all while upholding our high standards for quality and safety.

  • Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
  • Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
  • Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
  • Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on‑call for emergency maintenance.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in general maintenance or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Affordable housing experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to participate in the emergency on‑call rotation as needed.
  • Dedicated to exceeding expectations by providing exceptional service.
  • Willingness to embrace feedback and continuously improve.
  • Strong belief in the value of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Reliable and committed to doing the right thing at all times.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Personal standards of appearance and dress compatible with the Company’s standards.

Compensation
  • $22 per hour
  • Annual performance bonus
  • This position is Non‑Exempt, meaning eligible for overtime pay
