Receiving Clerk​/ICC

As a primary contact for Safeway customers, the Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. The ICC checks all merchandise delivered to the store and supervises all Direct Store Delivery (DSD). Oversee the return of salvageable merchandise. Walk the entire store every day to scan DSD and address under or over ordering and out of stock conditions. Communicate with Store Director, order writers, night crew employees, merchandisers, and File Maintenance Clerk.

Knowledgeable of weekly ad and DSD displays. Monitor donations. Responsible for grocery and non-perishable inventories. Pay direct delivery bills and track ROWSAP’s. Oversee reduction of backroom inventories. Maintain backroom security, cleanliness, and organization. Keep track of all pallet and floor jacks and ensure equipment works properly. Maintain backroom organization, safety, and backroom schematic integrity.
