Key Responsibilities- Manage a large team of hourly team members and leaders, including leaders of leaders.
- Recruit, select, and develop talent across all departments.
- Lead a guest‑first culture, ensuring exceptional guest service.
- Own retail financials (payroll, profit and loss) and drive sales growth.
- Create store‑specific strategies and manage the team to deliver results.
- Understand sales trends, inventory management, and pricing strategies.
- Set quarterly business priorities and manage the team to meet sales goals.
- Make data‑driven business decisions by assessing market competition and guest insights.
- Develop and coach a culturally inclusive team, valuing diverse voices.
- Schedule staff to meet business needs while maintaining a consistent guest experience.
- Model a welcoming experience by greeting and engaging guests.
- Promote Target’s digital and in‑store services to enhance the shopping experience.
- Drive operational efficiency, safety, and store growth.
- Lead best practices to reduce operational shortages and enforce safety protocols.
- Utilize operational reports to inform decisions and drive profitability.
- Build community relationships and address local needs.
- Maintain a strong security culture and merchandise protection strategy.
- 4‑year degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership and engagement experience.
- Analytical and quantitative decision‑making skills.
- Conflict management and accountability leadership.
- Ability to work flexibly, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
- Strong work ethic, composure, and task prioritization in fast‑paced settings.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners and point‑of‑sale technology.
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Accurately handle cash register operations.
- Climb ladders and lift up to 44 pounds.
- Work in varying temperatures and humidities.
- Remain mobile for the full shift duration.
- Flexible attendance and reliable punctuality.
