ABrief Overview
The Quality Management Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing a Quality Management System that emphasizes organizational efficiency, continuous quality improvement, and meeting customer expectations with company products and services, as an essential part of the work of MAF so that the Gospel is proclaimed and God's Kingdom is extended.
This position requires an active commitment to the mission, values, and doctrinal stance of MAF. In the course of performing job duties, the employee will act in a manner that is Christ‑honoring as well as Christ‑like, demonstrating a personal Christian faith and witness in all interpersonal interactions.
- Monitors the Quality Management System of each field program
- Reports QMS status to IDOQ and field DOQs
- Participates in the development of controlled organizational documents
- Participates in the management of the document control website
- Participates in the development of quality processes
- Manages the list of approved suppliers
- Conducts field program audits, as assigned
- Executes safety‑related projects, as assigned
- Facilitates one or more training sessions in SQS
- Develops QMS training materials for the organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business, or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years experience in an aviation‑related position is required
- 2 years experience in quality management (aviation or non‑aviation) is required
- A'P license is preferred upon hire
- Commercial/Instrument Rating is preferred upon hire
- Lead auditor certification is preferred within first year
$25.04 – $29.21 hourly
