  • Unit includes 2 OR suites for C-sections (RNs circulate and recover), 4 triage beds staffed by travelers, and antepartum patients; does not accept placenta previa or placenta accreta
  • Patient population includes 32+ week gestation patients, HTN/magnesium drips, BACs, TOLACs, gestational diabetes, antepartum, and a high volume of patients seeking medical intervention or pain control — approximately 90 births/month

  • RNs are required to titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and occasional Insulin protocols
  • Fetal monitoring uses Centricity; telemetry capability is available on unit but rarely used
  • Charting system is Epic; experience is required
  • 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a), with weekend coverage based on unit needs
  • No on-call or standby requirement
  • Float requirement to all St. Luke's Treasure Valley sites (Meridian, Nampa, Boise) within primary skill set (L&D, Postpartum, or Antepartum) or as a sitter
Requirements
