Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Nampa, Idaho (83687): 13-week travel nurse assignment; 12-hour nights; BLS/ACLS/NRP required. - Location: Nampa, Idaho (83687) — Treasure Valley, near Meridian and Boise
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2400–$2530 per week
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nurse assignment)
- Setting: Acute Care – LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) | Perinatal & Mother-Baby unit
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am), weekends as needed
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Floating: May float to St. Luke's Treasure Valley sites (Meridian, Nampa, Boise) within primary skill set (L&D, Postpartum, Antepartum) or serve as a sitter
- Orientation: 4 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
- Active RN license (compact license or state RN license as required)
- Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery experience required (3 years preferred)
- Mother-baby / couplet care experience preferred (at least 1 year preferred)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE
- Clinical skills: attending deliveries, newborn care, triage, circulating C-sections, postpartum couplet care
- Experience with magnesium protocols and titration of drips (Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin)
- Comfort floating to other sites/units within primary skill set as needed
- Must complete compliance trainings and EPIC/Curio assignments prior to start
- Travel requirement: travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Adherence to hospital dress code (hospital-issued scrubs required)
- Provide comprehensive Labor & Delivery and postpartum care to mothers and newborns in a 14-bed LDRP unit
- Circulate and recover C-section patients in 2 dedicated OR suites and assist anesthesia and surgical teams as needed
- Staff triage beds and manage a variety of obstetric diagnoses (32+ weeks gestation, HTN/preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, TOLACs, etc.)
- Follow AWHONN staffing standards and maintain appropriate patient ratios for safe perinatal care
- Administer, titrate, and monitor medications and drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Insulin
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OB hospitalists, neonatal NPs, anesthesia, lactation consultants, and support staff
- Participate in orientation, unit training, and ongoing compliance and quality improvement activities
- Provide patient and family education related to labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
