ResponsibilitiesOur nurses enjoy autonomy in a naturally fast paced role, working closely with physicians in the treatment of patients. Core cases include fractures, fevers, allergic reactions, COPD, other respiratory illnesses, and traumas appropriate for a Level VI Trauma Center. Trauma requiring higher level of care is routed to our Boise hospital.
We are primarily in need of full‑time, night shift nurses, willing to work a schedule of 7 pm to 7 am. Qualified candidates may also be considered for part‑time and/or day shift opportunities if available. Colleagues self‑schedule their hours in advance and are expected to work 2 weekends per month. Colleagues support our Emergency Departments (ED) in Nampa and have the opportunity to float between our Medical Center and our freestanding Emergency Department on 12th Avenue.
Ideal Candidates- Some RN experience.
- Has ACLS certification.
- Experience caring for critical patients and utilizing critical thinking and assessment skills to prioritize patient needs.
- Desire to care for all types of patients and to be part of a team.
Nampa Garrity ED, located right off I‑84, opened June 2017 and is classified as a Level VI Trauma Center. With 30 beds, we see an average of 80 patients per day. Our Nampa 12th Avenue ED is freestanding, equipped with 16 beds. We proudly provide the best possible care through phenomenal teamwork and commitment.
Requirements- A current Idaho RN license is required.
- Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
- All colleagues must provide licensure or proof of application in process for an Oregon RN license within 90 days of the hire date.
- Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
- At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
- Prefer one or more years of RN experience in an emergency setting.
- BLS/HCP certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
