Salary and Pay The annual compensation range for this position is $35,200.00 - $52,800.00 and depends on location, experience, education, licensure, and/or skill level. Pay for this position starts at $18 per hour, with a 10% shift differential.
Work Shift The D shift (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 6pm–6am) and every other Saturday 6pm–6am.
PurposePurpose Statement: Performs routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels throughout various stages of production. Visually inspects sub-assemblies and HLA level products using a magnifier or other tools, with lot sampling methods or 100% inspection.
Key Job Accountabilities- Participate in root cause analysis activities to identify causes of quality issues.
- Enter standardized information into GSF.
- Supervise work area in accordance with 5S standards.
- Perform routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality at various production stages; visually inspect sub-assemblies and HLA level products using magnification or other tools, with lot sampling methods or 100% inspection.
- Keep supervisors informed and escalate issues when needed.
- Minimum of Middle school certificate required.
- One (1) year of related manufacturing experience required; two (2) or more years preferred.
- Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing process (SMT, Backend) and HLA product builds.
- Advanced electronic manufacturing experience, including knowledge of workmanship standards, preferred.
- IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 certification or equivalent required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Advanced reading, writing and math skills (12th grade level) required.
- Inspection skills and knowledge of PCBA and HLA product builds.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
- Must complete training for and become QA-certified within six months and maintain certification.
- Basic PC skills and familiarity with Plexus software packages.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and handle PCBA components.
- Visual acuity requirements for near vision and inspection tasks.
- Electro-mechanical manufacturing environment; PPE required. May involve standing, lifting, manual dexterity, and use of magnifiers or vision systems. Prolonged visual inspection with various equipment.
- Less than 40% travel.
