POSITION:

Production Supervisor

REPORTS TO:

Production Manager

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

To oversee his or her department/s in accomplishing Autovol’s Safety, Quality and Production goals by providing positive leadership.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (NOT INTENDED TO BE INCLUSIVE):
  • Live the Company’s Mission and Values and advocate these to other solutioneers.

    • Ensures that we are building high quality, affordable housing by empowering a dedicated team of savvy solutioneers with the latest in automation technology for offsite volumetric construction.

    • Functions as an owner of the Company contributing to the Company’s overall goals.

  • Ensure that all safety requirements are fully adhered to and any unsafe conditions reported and rectified immediately.
  • Ensure that all quality requirements and manufacturer’s installation instructions are adhered to.

    • Train all Solutioneers on the requirements and instill accountability.

    • Routinely inspect the quality of the workmanship coming from your team.

  • Ensure that all production schedules are accomplished.

    • Manage team’s performance by setting goals, observing and giving feedback, addressing performance issues promptly and communicating progress.

    • Work in conjunction with other Supervisors to shift Solutioneers based on need and, in some cases, to find a position that better fits a specific Solutioneer.

    • Hold daily tailgate meetings to discuss production schedule and opportunities for improvement and to celebrate successes.

  • Handle the administrative duties of the position.

    • Review prints daily and work with necessary support staff to provide the team with the needed information.

    • Provide the Production Manager with daily data on any time lost to issues including rework, prints, materials, equipment, or other obstacles.

    • Draft performance reviews for your team to document progress and any need for improvement.

  • Be proactive in addressing issues that impact your department.

    • Immediately address any concerns or complaints from your team.

    • Quickly mollify any team unrest or disagreement using good leadership skills. Seek a win/win solution when possible. Seek assistance from the Production Manager as needed.

    • Maintain world‑class housekeeping and departmental material organization.

  • Actively contribute to the Company’s quest for continuous quality improvement.

    • Develop and implement tools to promote all quality objectives/initiatives.

    • Work with the necessary teams/individuals to identify systemic defects, find their root causes and initiate systems to prevent their recurrence.

    • Participate in training sessions. Actively seek out learning opportunities. Become involved!!

    • Keep superiors and peers informed, seek their advice, involvement and approval when necessary.

  • Protect the interests of the shareholders.

    • Remain aware of our financial goals and the objectives and initiatives to achieve them.

    • Manage responsibilities and assets in a manner that maximizes efficiency and minimizes expense.

  • ADDITIONAL

    JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Autovol management.
  • ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES:
  • You must be able to walk, climb, lift loads of at least 30 lbs. and perform such other physical duties as may be necessary to carry out the job functions described above.
  • You must be able to communicate honestly, effectively and clearly with customers, peers, and supervisors verbally and in writing.
  • Unwavering commitment to conform to the requirements. Ability to hold others accountable in a manner that produces maximum conformity and minimal strife.
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power point or ability and willingness to learn.
  • Have very good interpersonal skills and a high tolerance for stress. Should be able to resolve conflicts in a fair, reasonable and professional manner.
  • EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in modular housing.
  • Candidates with additional experience and/or education other than those listed above may be considered.
