BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
Must-Have:
- Experience in blood bank, MTS gel, and tube methods
- Experience with Beckman Coulter hematology (520 and 690)
- Manual differential, body fluid cell count, and differential procedures
- Experience with Werfen Top coagulation instrumentation and urine microscopic procedures
Description:
The Medical Technologist demonstrates critical thinking skills, judgment, and leadership in laboratory technology practice.
The Medical Technologist is responsible and accountable for the efficient planning, directing, and accurate provision of all laboratory testing in the assigned area of licensure.
The Medical Technologist practices in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, regulatory standards, recognized testing techniques, and administrative policies.
