DescriptionRISE is expanding from institutions to family settings, supporting adults and children with diverse support needs in a variety of homes and community settings.
The PositionThe Intervention Technician provides direct intervention for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in school, community, and/or center settings. Responsibilities include delivering intervention services designed to decrease maladaptive behaviors and promote adaptive behaviors in line with each individual plan, using reinforcement strategies. The technician will document progress or regression of goals, coordinate with the treatment team, and participate in supervision regularly.
This is a provisional position for 18 months. During that time, staff must acquire 1,040 hours of direct, supervised experience with an individual aged 0-21 with a developmental disability or demonstrated functional need.
- Provide direct one-on-one or group intervention to a child or adolescent with a developmental disability in accordance with the plan for treatment
- Provide daily documentation on the progress of goals
- Effectively communicate with parents and other providers
- Must complete required annual training requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
- Bachelor’s Degree in a human service related field or within 24 credits of completing a Bachelor’s Degree and actively enrolled and in pursuit of those final credits
- Complete 40 hour RBT training in ABA (provided by RISE) or hold a current certificate in Habilitative Intervention (HI)
- Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and car insurance
- Must provide or obtain CPR/First Aid Certification (provided by RISE)
- Must provide or obtain MANDT and/or other de-escalation certification training (provided by RISE)
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass the Para Pro PRAXIS (Mountain Home School District only) (Remove if not Mountain Home)
