Description
Our Saint Alphonsus Radiation Therapist administers high‑energy radiation therapy treatments to patients with malignant and benign disease processes, considering treatment techniques, patient age, and mobility. The Radiation Therapist also contributes to department efficiency by accurately scheduling, performing statistics, billing, documenting, checking charts, chart rounds, imaging, and other procedural activities. Assist the physicians and other staff during simulation, treatment room set‑up, examinations, and special procedures with consideration of treatment techniques and patient’s age and mobility.
Contribute to ongoing clinical instruction and evaluation of radiation therapy students.
- Varian/ARIA treatment environment, including brachytherapy.
- External beam treatments including SRS, SBRT, IMRT, and 3
DCRT. - 4D CT sim, gated radiation therapy, and Vision RT/OSMS.

Skills, Knowledge, Education And Experience- Registered as a Technologist (RT) and certified in Radiation Therapy (T) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 1 year of hire date.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS).
