Provide resources to students to meet state grade level standards and ultimately to graduate from high school. Specific standards are identified for each grade level on which to focus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervise and monitor the performance of all assigned personnel
- Administer the budget for the respective program
- Follow the summer school approved district and state regulations related to business operations
- Keep accurate student attendance records for verification of required hours for credits
- Be responsible for student welfare
- Be responsible for the evaluations of student progress
- Coordinates daily busing needs
- Communicates with parents on student instruction and discipline
- Maintain discipline of student body
- Seek assistance should emergencies arise
- Represent the school district in a positive manner
- Know and follow school district policy and chain of command
- Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Participates in the supervision of summer school certified and classified staff.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE- Valid Idaho administrative certificate with principal endorsement
- Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or Administration required
- Minimum of four years of successful classroom experience required
- Successful administrative experience preferred
- Strong background in teaching required, strong background in administration preferred
- Works well with students, staff, and the public
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Models fair play and respect
- Able to maintain a positive environment and high standards of conduct for students
- Treats all students with fairness and equity
- Able to work under pressures and deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of staff and students
Ability to read, analyze and interpret education periodicals, assessment reports, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, managers, employees, clients, customers, and/or the general public.
PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLSConsistently demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns.
PRODUCTIVITY/EFFICIENCY SKILLSConsistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary; organize job functions and work area to be able to effectively complete varied assignments within established time frame.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference. Ability to conduct basic math functions, as well as manipulate formulas in spreadsheets.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with severe abstract and concrete variables.
