Traveling Civil Construction Laborer

WRS is seeking Traveling Civil Construction Laborers to join our field team. This role involves supporting a variety of civil construction projects across Eastern Washington.

Applicants with prior civil construction experience will be given preference; however, motivated individuals with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.

Your Responsibilities

• Uses various hand tools & power tools to perform tasks.
• Runs and operates small equipment.
• Assists with all aspects of concrete. Builds forms, smoothes and finishes freshly poured concrete.
• Positions, joins, aligns, welds and seals pipe sections.
• Mops, brushes, or spreads paints or compounds over surfaces for protection.
• Sprays materials such as water, sand, steam, tar, or paint, through hose to clean, coat, or seal surfaces.
• Grinds, sands, or polishes various surfaces.
• Assists with all aspects of construction:
  Demolishes buildings, saws lumber, dismantles forms, concrete work, constructs elements of buildings, asphalt work, lifts and moves objects, etc.
• WRS laborers may be asked to stand a fire watch, hole watch or pump watch. They also may be asked to be a truck spotter or rider.
• Understands elevations as it relates to grade, piping, and slope.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Ability to problem solve in various situations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Candidates with prior Civil Construction experience will be given preference, but all are encouraged to apply.
