House Supervisor, Nursing

Position Summary

The House Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of all nursing personnel engaged in specific nursing and patient care services for an 8 or 12 hour period of time. Responsible for the continuation of smooth functioning of the hospital during the absence of the administration team. Scope of work encompasses direct and indirect patient care. Assists other areas of hospital administration by fully participating in meetings and special committees, as well as following and enforcing hospital policies and procedures.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN degree mandatory and BSN preferred, or hours toward degree.

• Minimum of three years nursing experience and two years in Nursing Management.

• BLS, ACLS, PALS **

• Must have a current RN Texas License.

** Note – Required certifications are to be completed by 3 months of employment.

• Customer Service Skills
• Enhances professional growth & development through participation in educational offerings.
• Complies with all applicable statutes, rules, & regulations, policies & procedures, and Corporate Ethics Program.
• Transfer of NSTEMI and/or UA patient from ED and observation area to appropriate inpatient setting.
• Supervises and directs the activities of all patient care services employees using the philosophy based on the Tenet 5 Pillars of Excellence and the Target 100 goals.
• Aware of and follow policies regarding patient safety.
• Promotes Safety
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
