Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Manufacturing Production
This position is in the Nacogdoches Maintenance Department. Primarily responsible for providing mechanical/electrical breakdown or troubleshooting services and/or any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Daily housekeeping activities
- Daily safety checks for unsafe acts and conditions
- Work closely with production associates and supervision to fill their needs to accomplish highest production efficiency
- Make repairs on all equipment within the plant.
- Fill in as breakdown technician in any department as needed
- Promote lean manufacturing in all processes.
- Any other assigned duties as specified by supervisor
3 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance role
EDUCATION:High School Deploma or GED preferred
Texas State Journeyman’s Electrical License or equivalent is a plus.
TRAINING ANDSKILLS:
- NIBCO electrical certification and demonstrated electrical troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Fork truck qualified
- Customer focus
- Must be able to work in adverse conditions such as extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and elevated positions
- Must be able to wear a respirator
- Teamwork / Collaboration
- Ability to use measuring instruments
- Read prints and design drawings
- Operate power tools
- Good work ethic
- Ability to continuously stand or walk.
- Ability to bend, squat, & lift < 35 pounds frequently
- Ability to climb stairs occasionally
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to move rolling product cart > 150 pounds occasionally
- Ability to wear required PPE
- This is a manufacturing environment with minimal climate control.
- Ability to work in a hot environment.
